Right here in God's Country (i.e. Wyoming)...I'm on a 3 year, 3 bulls streak. A true addiction for me....

I hunt in central Idaho and do pretty well. Lots of experiences I know that. I can't wait from year to year. There aren't to many of those huge bulls here like there are in other states. You can see a big one every now and then but for the most part they are 330 class and lower. I would love to go and hunt some of those monsters in another state some time. I have seen the occasional 350-360 but haven't been able to get an arrow in one yet.
I wish I could answer everybody's post here and hear a story from all of you but there are more post then I thought there would be. So if you have a good story share it with the rest of us. I know I would like to read a couple.

Thats pretty much how I feel too. If while I'm elk hunting a deer gets in my way, I'll try and put that meat in my freezer too.

I started shooting a bow when I was just a kid and have always enjoyed hunting elk more with a bow than I have a rifle .I didn't get to last year ,but plan to make up for it his year .

I'm with that still paying dues idea; every time I hunt. Hunt elk with bow in W. Washington: For all you flat-open land hunters out there; we pay our dues every time we step off the road. Can you say JUNGLE?... STEEP JUNGLE? Wouldn't trade a minute of it!

I'm 16, and I live in North Central Montana, just off the rocky mountain front. I've killed 3 cow elk with my rifle, and this year was my first attempt with a bow. My first day out, I got a 40 yrd shot at a really nice 6 pt bull but was shaking so bad I think the arrow went behind me...I did however, hit the next elk that stepped out in the heart, which didn't have any horns, so I was rock steady of course...and to add to an already great weekend(I killed the elk on saturday), I went antelope bow hunting the next day, and stalked and killed a 15 inch buck with my bow...I LOVE bowhunting and have a hoyt ultratec ordered, and will be practicing at least 3 times a week, because next year I AM going to get that bull!!!

Have taken 2 bulls with my bow. One in Idaho and one in Colorado. I
live in Maryland but love the Rocky Mtns. in September. It gets no
better than this.
