Default Lease has been sold

[]The landowner told me I have until the end of deer season, 1-6-08,to get my stuff. I have mixed emotions. I'm saddened that I'm losing a place so affordable and close to home. I'll leave with good memories of the place. Its where I "grew up" bowhunting these last 3 years. The area has been getting more and more developed with 5-20 acre "Ranchettes". Its just too close driving distance to Dallas.
I've really enjoyed having guests from huntingnet come out and hog hunt with me. I've made some good friends that way.
I had debated looking for new land to hunt due to the access debate I've had with my BIL, now my mind has been made up for me. My BIL is heartbroken. Hes been hunting that land for over 20 years.
We will be hunting the 100 acres the owner did not sell. I had exclusive access to that until now. I was told I'll have to share it with my BIL but I really don't mind. I got 2 stands moved yesterday from the old place to the new . So I get the good spots this time.
I also have another 30 acre tract lined up. I'll be the only one on this land. There are 2 other places that look really promising. One is 100 acres one is 50. I'll know about them soon. And I am networking and seeking hard.
I think this may be a growing phase in my bowhunting career. I've never had to seek a place to hunt before and I'm determined to find land that holds BIG BOY.
I'm looking forward to the future!

Good luck tx, your BIL should be kissing your ass about now vs telling you to stay out of his side. I hope everything works out for the best.
