Default ok welp heres some hunter/camp knives

thanks for the feedback folks, heres the stuff I was mentioning that was on the bench for handles and sheaths. Im going to also try my hand at more bird and fish knives over the next couple days since I have to spark up the forge to make some gifts anyway.

lemme know what yall think

burled cherry handle 5160 steel hammer finish skinner

drop point camp knife
more of that burled cherry with a wet molded sheath

curly maple handled drop oint, I put a aggresive stance on the blade for chopping etc
1095 steel

bird and fish knife, 5160 steel, hammer finished, yet more of that burl ( it was a big burl heh) carved it up some for the visuals and for good gripping

Metalbender,
Very Nice!
The molded sheaths and the speckled metal are really amazing. Is the metal some sort of damascus?

thanks for the kind words fellas
kwilson16 nope thats called alloy banding, you get it from thermal cycling the steel, Ill be trying my hand at making some san mai soon which is similair to what we call damascus (pattern welding)
now lets hope that the folks that visit the lil store I display my knives at like em too! local economy is tanked out of tourist season, its been a VERY rough late fall early winter for alot of craftsmen out here. :/
