It depends on what you want. There are tons of deer and Little to big bucks, however I just heard of someone dropping a 160 class out near charlotte tonight. I need to get the details but if/when/or if I can post a pic I will. They just don't come a dime a dozen like in Buckeye's backyard around here.

The Pee Dee National Wildlife Refuge has some hogs, being a bow hunter is a good thing...They have 3-4 drawn gun hunt a year for 3 days apiece...But the bow hunters have it before this happens...You need to pick up the rules, abide by them and all that stuff, but it's a bow hunters dream......

I went to college in charlotte UNCC grad. in 2003, there is quiet a few deer near the campus if you can gain access. There is plenty of deer in the surrounding area (Concord, Gastonia, etc). You are about an hour and 1/2 away from the mountainous (agricultural) region, where you'll find decent deer (good luck on finding land to hunt).
Another note, the night life is amazing (makes it hard to get up b/f sunrise).
just curious, where's the job?
