How much does it cost... not nearly enough. Now if they would give us a 12 month season so I could enjoy it all the time.... WELL... then it would be a righteous amount that would be just.

Yall are right, im "just sayin". The enjoyment out of it rules the price outi understand if you did for the meat you wouldnt need a 08 Generel, range finder, swavorski binocs,or a Butt-Out,maybe Schultzy is the only one to fit ths criteria of price per lb.

RE: GMMAT inspired me!! How much do your deer cost?

This year, all I have spent is about $45 for my general hunting license and bow tag. I got 95 lbs of meat off my deer. Gas was very little as I hunt within a mile or two of my parents where I would swing by most weekends anyway. Of course, in the last five years I have bought a bow, several rests, limsavers and other accessories, 2 doz. arrows, 3 packs of broadheads, fees for 3d tourneys etc.....that makes it greater, but since I take at least one big buck(100lbs of meat) and maybe a doe, its still reasonable. I save a ton by making a lot of stuff myself.

However i also consider hunting my 'therapy'......you want to consider the net savings of not getting billed by a shrink:eek::D?

I am MAKING money doing it (by not spending more on other things that I would be doing) and I am not even a pro![8D]

In the end and all sarcasm aside, you all have to agree...........PRICELESS

Well I have spent well over $5000 in just archery toys in the last 5 years. And I so not see myself ever limiting myself or cutting myself short in my hunting WANTS.

I have harvested about 700 lbs. of venison in these 5 years. I believe this comes out to about $7.15/lb.

I have also been married 5 years, spent hundreds of thousands of dollars. I harvested my wife at 115 lbs. LMAO........ that comes out to $2,500/lb.

All right I am done doing math..........

I make sure NOT to keep track of all my hunting expenses… That way when the wife asks something like “how much did you spend on your hunting crap last year”…. I can honestly say that I have no idea.

It’s called plausible deniability :D
