Also don't EVER glue in your pin nock bushings (Or any bushings for that matter).......BAG them in so you can remove them when you bend a pin or mangle a bushing in any way.

When installing your nocks, take a plastic sandwich bag and hold over the nock end of the shaft. Push the nock pin or bushing through the plastic and into the shaft. This holds them just tight enough so they won't move on you, but loose enough that you can pull them out with your fingers if you need to on the course to replace pins/nocks, etc.

I do this with all my nocks as well too.

Well now there's a killer idea. I suppose that would work for anynock really, yes? Nocks seem to get loose and this would tighten them up....Cool.

Mess around with different thickness bags and materials to get the best fit......sounds funny but I have found that for Gold Tip Shafts "Target" store bags to be the perfect thickness.

Most all carbon arrows (target or hunting) will accept bushings of some sort, and IMO guys are doing themselves and their wallets a disservice by not using them, or if they DO use, by glueing them in.

By bagging in bushings you wouldn't believe the wear and tear a shaft will take from impact abuse, especially the thicker walled hunting shafts....and if the bushing itself gets smoked the "bagging" lets you just pop another in , install a new nock and keep right on shooting (After checking the shaft for cracks of course)

Haha......I know what you mean by certain bags being a better fit. I've used the actual package bag the pin bushings themselves come in for quite a while now. There is just enough plastic there to do a dozen arrowsand they work good too if you apply the right pressure over the shaft with the plastic. If you hold the plastic too tight over the shaft nothing gets between the pin and shaft wall and it's too loose........but if you don't apply any pressure at all over the shaft then too much gets in there and you can't pull the pin out unless you have pliers.

I always keep a 2"x2" scrap piece of this plasticin my release pouch on my 3D quiver for on the course emergencies.
