Stabbed in the Back!!!!!!
I have been good friends with this preson for about a year now we have hunted alot
he was going to be on your upcoming dvd this year untill i got a call from some one that seid that he was hunting land of mine with out me he took two or three guys on it to gun hunt i was saving it for a close freind of mine and for me becuse i have not got a buck with a bow yet[:o][:-] so i call him and tell him to get off!!!!! he calls back and lies to about what the owner sied he sied that the owner told him that he had not talked to me in a week and i had just talked to him the day b4 he also so told me that the land owner told him that he can hunt when the land owner told him to ask me becuse i lease the land!!!!!!!!!!! Now the man is mad at me ( I could care less) and i have the land to myself:D:D |

Yeah, I know what it's like to be back stabbed. I now pick whom I'm close to very carefully. Backstabbing will NEVER get anyone ahead in life but it will come back to haunt said person. Backstabbers are low lifes in my book.

Man! That sucks, some people just have no respect for others.. But hey, if you need to fill his spot, Id love to hunt Kansas and make a new dvd:D, and I wont hunt there without you.. lol just kidding. People like that are the reason no one trusts anyone anymore.

Just like when a family member dies, you get to know just how many friends/relatives you have. That really bites. Sorry to hear that happen. If people would learn to put others ahead of themselves, you wouldn't have that problem. Not to worry, though. In the end those types end up getting it paid back to them tenfold. I got one of your videos at the HNI meet last yr. I expect to see you guys on OLN some day. Nice video.

their is plenty of deer running around for everyone to shoot at Relax Guys...i have my own land but..... you know what if someone poaches/trespasses oh well...some guys have to feed their familys...id tell them to ask first nextime. As far as your friend, your not his friend anymore because he went hunting without you? why did you take him out their in the first place if your so uptight about it? dont get me wrong he should have asked someone...but you brought him into the deal to begin with....sorry but you can onlyblame yourself for your headache....and it might cost you your lease next year..

I could see your friend thinking he could hunt the land, being friends and such. A courtesy call would have been nice. Bringing outsiders into your lease without permission is a stab in the back for sure, unless your friend helped pay for the lease. It does not sound like it. A one time incursion is not the end of the world.
Maybe you should educate your friend on hunting etiquette. |

I've had some similar problems with people at my old hunting lease before I joined the Army. There were issues over the land rights, and some people i trusted with the key tothe leaseso they could get to the property adjacent to us trashed our stands wrecked our food plots.

Alpha Capo.....do what????????????? are you kidding me????? Some guys have to feed their family.....who?? Jeremiah Johnson??? Get real man, Im not trying to bust your _alls but you must not have had this happen to you before. granted he only knew the guy a year, but still, noone should do that to anyone and it be ok. This guy paid the lease and he has that right to keep it to himself or allow others at his request.. come on man... get on the right page, with all due respect of course.

You know that's the problem with asking someone to hunt with you , they think becauase you took them once they think they can hunt when ever they want to, then before you know it they start bring there friends with them .Just like some hunters i know ,they get to hunt a farmer woods next thing he's asking friends to hunt with him . I'm sorry but if you ask tohunt someones woods that's is what it means you not all your friends unless you ask if they can hunt with you.

I know the feeling. I have a lease with 3 others and two of them are constantly taking people. me and an other guy have quit hunting there because of it and the fact they do to much in the woods during season that we haven't seen but a few deer in the lst couple of years. I know the feeling hnt 24.7, it sucks!! it gets me so P.O.ed(?)

Had a buddy try and do that to me recently. Shot a deer right out from underneath him that he never saw until it hit the ground dead.:DMans looking at me a little differently now. He was never in any danger. Served up 2 cups of mojo that day. It was sweet.

That sucks man. I have found myself in questionable situations in the past and the answer always comes down to the same thing. That is, no hunting spot is worth losing a friend over. Unfortunately, others don't subscribe to the same mentality.

Here is the real kicker i told him not to be on there with out me #1 i also told him that i was saving this spot for later#2 Alpha Capo he is 22 and his girlfreind just brook up with him and called off the wedding him got kicked out of collage i dont think that feeding anyone has anything to do with it!!!!

I've gota buddy from GA that's out there hunting. He's got a buddy that has some family that's got land out there and he didn't let them know in advance that they we're wanting the hunting rights and so they gave someone else permission to hunt this weekend. So he's been sitting in a hotel room for a few days wating for them to leave so he can hunt.

when i was about 17 i had to guys who were brothers who i was friend with since 2 grade and alot of peopletoldme they were worthless but like alot of people i did not listen after 8 years our friendship end one of them got into a disargeement with my brother and him and two of his older brother jumped my brother . I told the guy that if he came near me or any of my family i would kill him . He listen but a month later i got jumped on halloween by 5 guys not of them were him got bricked in the head later i found out he put the guysup to it did not evenhave the guts to do it himself my guest is because he knew hecould not get it dne
. And i learnt after that daythat most friends are just someone wonting something from you. And when they do notget it they get mad . Good luck and i hope you get your deer |

i never take hunting too seriously...i do it for fun nothing more nothing less.
when someone else takes an amimal i get more excited than they do...i dont know... all im saying is that there are plenty of deer running around for everyone to shoot at. next year dont invite anyone on your hunts with you and you can havethe localdeer herdall to yourself....or maybe learn to be a better judge of charactor. |

Alpha, I agree with you on the plenty of deer and judge of character, however, I don't think it is about deer as much as it is principals.
