Default what to do?????

A friend of mine just called my brother tonight. He said his dad was out cutting firewood in a tree strip and had been ther for a while when he looked down and seen a deer leg. Then he noticed that it was the whole deer and still alive. He said it was a big muley and it must have been shot in rifle season and laid down in the tree strip to hide. He says it cant hardly move and it didn't even get up when he was standing next to it. I think we will go out in the morning and take a look at it to determine if it can make it through the winter. I guess if not then we will have to call the game warden and do the right thing.
What are your thoughts on this.....

sounds like you need to put it down . i don't think it is going to recover. Don't let it suffer.
