Default Grizzly bear bowhunting

Just out of curiosity, what bow weight would you want for grizzly hunting? All the articles I have read about it were pretty old, (I have lots of old magazines) and they said to have at least 75# of draw weight. This seems about wright to me. I say the best weight is around 75 pounds with another few pounds of lead on your hip.

You have bigger &quot;nards&quot; than me if you're gonna poke a grizzly with a pointy stick! <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

Just curious but wouldn't the energy created by your setup be more important that just the pooundage? I know poundage plays a big role in your kinetic energy, but so does arrow length, weight, spine and broadhead weight. Just a thought.

PAbearman, this is a very general topic. Yes all those things are more important. But if we were going to get into all of that, I would have to post it in the &quot;techincal&quot; forum.
