Reno congratulation on one beautiful deer!! Your'e right I am from back east we do get a little spoiled by cover. I don't doubt your ability to shoot obviously you can, its just a deer 213ft away has a decent amount of time to react. Quick question, "are mulies as jumpy as whitetails?" I've been elk hunting and jumped them in the meadows and they seem to stand around for awhile before making up there mind to leave.

Yes they are jumpy but... The wind was blowing that day at my back at about 25 mph. He never heared the arrow leave the bow. I will get my chance to hunt back east in mn. next fall.
