I guess I’ve learned that sometimes even though you think you did everything right, put in the time, took all the precautions, and made all the adjustments you could think of…..sometimes it’s just not in the cards for you to get a shot.

I also learned that I was probably better off to spend more time in a far away and unfamiliar area with hot sign, than I was to spend time in my home area with very little sign.

I've learned to do most of my hunting before the season so that when it's open I know where to be. Can't start planning on Oct 14th to hunt on the 15th.
