Got My 2nd Illinois Buck W/ Pic's
 

Well I still havent been able to get the pic's off my cell phone (Yes... I amthe LG Cell PhoneVillage Idiot)from my 1st Illinois Archery buck this year.... but.... we got camera pic's of my 2nd Illinois Archery Buck.

I got a pass thru shot that hit the top of the heart and lung at 30 yards after laying down a scent trail of a Hot Doe Urine Scent that I was testing for the 1st time
( Guess it worked ;))I got to watch him drop from my climber up in the tree so it made tracking him not an issue and mouth calling to him trying to imitate a esterus doe since I hadnt had any bucks responding to the Doe can calls... My husband said I always did have a big mouth[8D]

Great buck!! IIII really expected another one of those freakdaddy non typicals from Allerton, but that it one pretty buck.

Look how wide he is!!! wow thats gotta be 30 inches across!! congrats to you. Great shot placement, i love watching them fall from the stand its such a relief.

Nice job! Nothing beats the feeling of taking two nice IL bucks in one year. Now you can sleep in while the rest of us are out in the cold freezing our butts off!!

I had to wonder the same thing when we were haulin him out of the woods on the deer cart his rack kept gettin hung up on all the tree's and branches etc[8D]
I only pray that I will continue to have that problem in future bowhunting seasons!!!!!;)

hey lady...when you going to put me in one of your stands? I really am not that far of a drive to get there. Heck I drove an hour and a half to hunt this morning. I think I can make it your way in about the same!!

Congrats on another awesome trophy. If you keep shooting them as big as you are you will run out of wall space really fast.

Next year sign up for the Lottery drawing to Bowhunt Robert Allerton Park in Piatt County, MonticelloIllinois owned by the University of Illinois,it is a hunt for herd reduction.Our quota of deer to take this year from the park is 200 deer and we are currently at 116 deer taken so far, 13 of them being bucks if I remember correctly.
To participate in the park huntyou will have to put in 40 hours of volunteer work at the park during ( April through September ), pass a profiency Archery shooting test and attend a mandatory meeting, you must take a doe before you can take a buck and then take a 2nd doe there if you want to take a 2nd buck there.
I have friend whom comes down on weekends from Kankakee to particiapate in the hunt at the park, and he stays down here on the weekends and says it is way worth it!!!!
Do your homework on patterening the does preseason there and you can knock off a doe in the 1st couple of days of the hunt and then you can be selective about what buck you want to take;)
