Try going to Southern Illinois and hunt the Shawnee National Forest if you want to get away from the crowds and have good deer to hunt. My partner and I never ran into a lothunting pressure problems there. The forest is big and can be intimidating trying to figure out where to hunt in those big woods, but there are places where the forest runs right up against private land. Concentrate your efforts there and you should be in the deer.
