RE: Spine shot deer video???
BobCo: Kevin killed this buck 18 years ago and I don't think anyone is blaming anyone here. This was just an unfortunate mishap that I don't think any Bowhunting education class could have prevented. Do you remember the first shot you ever took at a buck, and if you do, can you honestly say that due to your bowhunting education you placed the arrow exactly on the mark which was both lethal and humane. Let's wake up to the real world and factor thinks like excitement and buck fever into the equation. I've been bowhunting for 45 years and I still have to control my breathing and calm myself down after a buck appears out of nowhere. When bucks stop taking my breath away I will hang up my bow and go to the opera. I’ll take a double lung shot any day to a spine shot.

RE: Spine shot deer video???
I shot a doe last year.....and she wasn't spined.....but DID drop in her tracks. I tell the story as the arrow "pinned her to the ground". She never moved from that spot. I shot her again.....but she wasn't going anywhere.
I've spined a couple, too....so I know what that's like. I spined a piebald, last year and my 8 pointer, this year.....and they will still move themselves until you put a fatal blow into them. The doe from last year went ZERO yards. |
