I think it'd be an amazing experience, it seems everytime i kill a deer, gun or bow, its a blur.

I've not witnessed it w/ a bow, but have a couple times w/ firearms.....I bet that would be pretty cool, to watch the arrow fly and hit home.....

The one thing I always hear when I shoot 'em is the "pop" it makes when you hit lung......It kind of sounds like a balloon, but not......It's quite a unique sound, and I would like to hear that when I'm not the shooter...

No, I haven't personally but someone else saw/heard me connect on my doe earlier in the year. He said it sounded like I had hit a wall. Just a REALLY loud THWACK.

Jeff, how many more does are you looking at taking?

I watched over Rob's shoulder as he shot that doe at my place. You definitely see more over the shoulder than you do when shooting yourself........it's definitely a memory I will have for a long time.

I heard it when my dad took his first archery deer. Didn't see it, but heard the hit. I've also seen a number a deer being shot with muzzleloaders...that's very interesting to watch the plume of smoke and the deer react.

I watched my partner draw and then shoot a doe from about 40 yds away (were both in tree stands); the doe ran/stumbled past meand died ~15 yds frommy tree - pretty neat to see the action unfold...

Cougs I might take a few more (Or have them taken). I'm fine if I don't kill another deer this year.

Yes, I have witnessed more than one deer being taken by bow. My most recent eyewitness account is featured in the video section here at HuntingNet.Com and it's of our beloved Justin taking his first bowkill on video and I am filming.

Check it out it's titled Pike county doe#1. It was really neat to film, especially with Justin using a lumenock!
