I've let 14 to 16, 6 and 8 pointers walk this year. A few of them were 110 to 115 type 8 pointers. If I don't think they have a chance at 125 I won't shoot'em. I've shot my share of thePH's in years past. I get the urge to kill I'll go after the Bald heads. Yep!! I still get that urge. A man has to eat

That was my main reason for this thread, I think that one of the best things you can do for QDM is let the bloodlines of good gened younger bucks continue. Also I really like seeing people take 2 does for every one buck ( atleast thats what I do) and here in the great state of SD you can get a double doe tag for bow for only $25 bucks and then you get an any deer tag for $35 so for $60 you get lots of meat for the freezer just my .02

I think it was 7 different bucks, but I saw a couple more than once.

I promised myself the next buck I kill will be a 140-ish class buck or better, therefore, I have allowed probably 30 bucks another day of life because I hope someday they will be that 140-class buck, that includes probably half a dozen buttons and spikes, and at least 4 110-120" deer, only one low 120-ish buck. And I firmly believe that someday those patience will be rewarded w/ a nice 140 class buck, be it this year, next, or the following year, it will happen.
