on the doe i missed Wednsday i drawed down a bit in front of her then moved to her vitals but with low light it took me a bit to get zoned in so next time i will properly draw down on her back or front leg to get on there closer

What GMMAT was eluding to VA..

The pin guard in your case is the clear plastic "housing" due to the round nature of this pin guard you can easily make concentric circles via the peep, to ensure proper pin alignment from your anchor point.

I don't use a peep sight and just open my right eye. I have practiced with bow eyes open in low light and am pretty accurate, maybe 10% less accurate than just my right eye. I draw slightly above the animal and lower the bow down the vitals.

I concentrate on the spot I want to shoot and draw and hold on that spot. Be it deer or target! I don't come-up or down..I just try and let my pin float to that spot and concentrate on a smooth release and full follow-through.

Look at the spot with your bow out in front of you draw and the pin should be on the spot when you anchor. If not say its low raise the peep a little till it dose. If off a little lift, right, up or down use the waist to make the adjustment not your arm are you will per load your shot and make a bad shot. If in a tree stand I bend at the waist as my bow out in front of me pointed at the spot before I draw. In over 40 years I have not seen very many of the top shooters shoot with one eye closed. I say about 95% shoot with both eyes open. When both eye are open only your dominate eye will be looking through the peep any way. If not the eye over your peep is not your dominate eye are the eye is not seeing a clear picture through your peep and your other eye is trying to take over. If that happens wink not close the other eye to make sure you are looking through the peep as you aiming. One more thing never take your eyes of the spot till your arrow hits it. Follow through and never give up on the shot.

I draw straight back, stare at the spot I want to hit, keeping the pin in my periphrial vision,bend at the waist, keep staring, keep staring, keep staring.. Squeeze off the shot, all the while keep staring and never breaking my gaze off the tiny spot i want to hit. Man, I do a ton of staring. [8D]

I draw, watching the deer the whole time for any sign of detection, then by the time I bring the peep up it is usually near the boiler room, from there its a matter of trusting the yardage and using the right pin.
