my guy in Ohio is doing mine for $275...I've seen his trophy room and his work....if you do find somebody to do it for $200 make sure you see what your getting before you commit...

I am sure you can find someone, but you are gone get a $200 mount and that ain't good. Put it in the freezer and save your money til you can afford it.

It always amazes me, hunters spend thousands of dollars (sometimes per year) on gear, and they finally kill something worth mounting, and want to go cheap. Don't do it....you'll regret it long term.
Another thing...in most cases, if theydon't charge a fair market price to mount a deer, you can almost be guaranteed they aren't really good. Most hunters have no idea what a "good" mount actually is. I've seen some guys that people say are "good" that flat out stink. It amazes me how many "taxidermists" don't know the anatomy of a deer, and how they really look. Mounting a deer is easy really, doing a good job--that is a different story. I'd rather pay $600 and send it to a World Champion, than $250 to jackleg joe. You'll have the mount a lifetime...the extra $ is pennies in the long run.
