A lot of places have free access. I know we have it at our VFW. Look around. We hate to lose you.

u can try to usea proxy to get through the firewall. search it on google and you will find a bunch but some of them will be blocked as well[:@]

We would hate to see you go but man I would't risk your job for it. I had to leave for while it's not the end of the world.

I did check in for a while at the local library now and then until I got internet again.

Or like said you could get a laptop and go somewhere that has free accesss to the web.

In all honesty if I was a boss I wouldn't want my workers messing around on the internet all day either. I work in a factory (until next week anyway[&o]) so I don't have any accesss to the internet but the people that do get fired for going on the internet during work hours. At least if it is not work related. We had a kid in quality control get fired for updating his myspace page while at work.

You can get free access from most hotel/motel parking lots as well as half the businesses out there. All you need is a charged up lap top and awireless card.Very few protect themselves.

thanks everybody - i appreciate the hints and tips (as i always have) but i just can afford the internet right now. and its not worth loosing my job (turns out its called "theft of time"), or spending a bunch of money for laptops, and wireless cards and such. call me old fashion but i dont have cable either :)

im sure any chance i get (like now) i'll check in and read up on whats goin on, and as soon as i do decide to buy internet service this will be one of the first sites i go to!

thanks again - god bless - and happy hunting

at my local k mart they have computers for internet use. they limit you to 1 hour use. use your hunting skills and ask around.someone is always giving a computer away. you can get a used cheap laptop for 100$ or less like i have . its a compaq evo n600. works great! dial up service should be free or just get a 20$ wireless card and hang out at mcdonalds. some of them have service.
