You throw salt over your right shoulder in your normal life, day to day. In the hunting world (atleast around here) we always throw the jewels over our right shoulder, or if you wanna have some fun you just put them on a buddy's windshield. Next time he goes driving and hits the wipers..... well lets just hope nobodys standing on the side of the road.

Can't think of any reason to keep them. Certainly not the trophy I am looking for!
May not be something you want to keep but in some states by law you must leave the positive sex id such as penis or one testical on the meat naturally attached until the animal has been registered and processed. Once the animal is butchered the id parts can be thrown away. I know Colorado has this law (and there you must keep the utter or male part with the meat until it is registered and if anyone has ever hunted Colorado you know that you don't actually take your animal to a registration station so you could kill your game and leave with no registration so you must leave it with the meat till you get back to your home state basically, cuzthe Dept of F&Gcall you later in the season to verify and survey how your hunt went and ask if you harvested anything....unless you get checked by a warden while you are out there then they will register your animal right then)....... I'm sure some other states may too have similar laws with sex partsso if I were you DropTine I'd look into the regs to see if you must leave a sex Id part on your animal.....

I know some of you might say well I have the horns right here, well yeah but that doesnt mean someone didn't kill a buck/bull when they only had a doe/cow tag and hide the head and kept the meat to look like they shot their female. Or they shot a female when they only had a male tag. Or you shoot a horned female, ect. There are reasons for it and not such a stupid law if ya think about it but I would consider it to be more of a western law than anythign cuz it involves packin out animals. Also don't make sense for a state such as WI cuz by law we can't butcher any deer until it has been registered.... WCL

I thought i was the only one who hung them in trees, its like tabu if you dont

The taters of every buck I have ever shot regardless of size(the size of the buck)have been hung up in a tree out of the reach of the yotes. I figure it's the least I can do..
Well I guess I could take them home and parboil then fry them but I just can't bring myself to do it. I HEAR they are great!!

In Texas, you need to either have the head attached, or the jewels. I alway cut them off when field dressing.
