I know guys like that...There is one who has a feeder with a trip light...the light goes on and he shoots the bucks at the feeder, then he has nerve enough to show them off, have them mounted ect...How can you live with yourself?

All of this in a Bow Only Zone!!!

Boy.. these are some real terrible stories. GregH, at 13 yrs. old your takes the cake. My ole' man probably would have fired a warning shot!

Seriously.. I have heard so many stories like this over the years. Recently this past weekend I shot a brute on some land I was hunting for the first time ever and as I was sitting there after I made the shot and it crossed my mind more than once. I was not familiar with any of the neighbors, my buck had fallen out of sight, and the land was real new to me. It was a long hour and a half wait!

I don't understand most people.. I just don't.

There are certainly all kinds out there. Sometimes you wonder how some ever got a license. I would never fight over a deer. In all my years of hunting, I have walked away from three that I knew (no doubt in my mind) were mine, but not worth getting aggrevated with some idiot while carrying a weapon.

Uses a 308 in a bow Zone...Have made a call..they said they would investigate...Last year I watched a real slammer all summer..Hit into him but way low...he was still running several weeks later...Someone stopped on the road and shot him on the RR tracks with a rifle...He died next to one of my stands...We reported the shots but police did nothing...There are many hnters that should not be allowed to hunt...even the taxidermist did not care...he mounted the buck for the guy...

Dave,
You need to call your State Game Agency not the police. Give them a description of this guy and vehicle.
Here in PA , they would love to go after a guy like that.

He gave up the fight after he saw that I could still see my deer from my stand..I know that if I would be disappointed but would never do anything like that. He knew he was done when he pushed the arrow in and hit that bone..he could not do it again and explain three holes in the deer...This buck was on a doe and I watched him for about 10 min before he gave me the shot...there were no other holes in him...I just can't believe it happened...

I have had things like this in rifle season but never with a bow..you gotta be so close ect...in fact I have finished off wounded deer for people with a rifle and then wait until they show up to show them where their deer are...

I guess there are all kinds out there...If I could not see my deer and waited an hour I would have found a gut pile...

I had a buddy of mine call me today to tell me he was going on a "hunting" trip Thur.-Sat. at a "ranch". He proceeded to tell me that the deer are guaranteed at that he could get 1 buck for $3000 or 2 $1500 dollar bucks that would not be as big. He said that the place ships its does off to a plant where they collect the urine every couple of days and that the bucks that are not the best breeder bucks are the ones they get to shoot(but these are still some nice bucks). You can shoot the breeder bucks but they are way more expensive, for example thetwo best bucks on the place are worth about $15,000 each.

I asked him why he doesn't just get the guy to e-mail pictures of the bucks, he could pick one and just send him the moneywith a little extra for the mount and the guy could just ship him a finished mount(hey at least he would save on gas, and the cost of 2 bullets). I told him that maybe for an extra $20 the "ranch"would include a BS story to tell all of his hunting buddiesand anyone else that sees the mount. His uncle and 5 of his friends just got back from 2 similiar places and spent over $30,000 and then want to try to tell me their "hunting" tales. It is sad and funny all at the same time, the only thing bigger than the racks are their ego's but to each their own, I guess. I don't know if this is "unethical" like the guy stabbing the deer but it sure isn't for me.

I know this is true but I still can't believe that someone would pay to shoot a deer like that. How do you tell the story and keep a straight face!!??[:-]

I just wish I had 30 G's to invest in hunts. I'd go on 10 or 15 DIY's.
