We really dont have a RIFLE season... well in terms anyway, we have what is called and "any weapons season" We can hunt with muzzle, rifle, pistol or bow..

how do you northern guys stand it, only being able to hunt for just a couple of weeks . it would be hard to stay fired up year after year.............tony

Hycohounds, I think they can hunt for several months, but their seasons come in and go out according to weaponry used. Am I right Northern guys??

missouri is the same way our archery actually closes for the 10 days of rifle. sept 15-nov 9 and then nov 21-jan 15. and we have unlimited does

Archery season closes but you can hunt with a bow using a firearms permit.

Ohio and Kentucky allow bow during gun season w/ the hunter orange requirement.

yes i can during all of gun season . mine goes from Oct 1 to Jan 31 you just need to wear 200 square inches to and from stand during muzzle and 500 square inches at all times during shot gun

Here in NY you can use your bow during gun season, but you need to use your gun season tag. (buck only). Unless you have an extra doe permit.

Orange isn't required, but I always wear orange to/from my stand during bow season, and take it off up in the tree, but hang it so people can see it if walking by.

If you have access to property that doesn't get invaded with the gun hunters, then using the bow works out ok. But if you are putting up with the orange army, the deer are awfully skittish and go nocturnal in my experience.
