I did cross onto a neighbor's land without permission earlier this year looking for a deer. In my defense they do not live there and so I have no idea how to get ahold of them.

ORIGINAL: shed33

I have a hard time obeying the speed limit trying to get to evening stands after work..
oops, I think that got us all.

so everybody....say you are out squirrel hunting with a .22 on a remote property half a mile from your vehicle....and you come across a doe that cannot stand up, her intestines hanging out a wound in her side....but still barely alive and suffering bad.....You walk within 30 feet of her and she turns her head slightly at you but does nothing else...to weak to move....what would you do?

for those of you claiming you trespassed, was this while hunting? if so, you are a poacher, no if ands or buts about it. i can see trailing a deer or shed hunting maybe, but trespassing + hunting = poaching.
I sometimes walk on the wrong side of the fence for about 8 ft to be able to cross the fence where it is down. Does that mean I poach? No. We don't always call when a deer falls on the wrong side of the fence. Same neighbor as the last 15 years and he said whenever we need to, as long as we are trailing downed game.

i riffle hunt during bow season w/ no hunting lic on somebody elses property and but i dont know whos. i also shoot deer at night from a truck w/ no tags and inspection went out 5 years ago.

haha jk
back in highschool i would tell the teacher i had to go to the bathroom 5min before the last bell then id sneak out to the yota and beat the 3:00traffic i would give that truck hell leave out spinnin, snathin the gears in that 4spd hang the on ramptill the oil light came on then fly. i hit 125mph one time on the 4lane on the what we call the "saltflats" its a 3-4mile flat, stight streach of road w/ a guardrail in the median going across the lake. but most of the time i would go around 90-95. there was no traffic at all..just me tring to get in the stand

I'm not a big fan of this thread. I know alot of us, myself included, have inadvertantly broken a rule once or twice. I just don't like putting my dirty laundry out there for the whole world. I don't think anything positive can come from this. Just my opinion....
