Pretty neet story, there were deer everywhere this morning. Had about an inch and a half of snow on the ground the entire morning, pissed I had to get out of the woods to go to work!

Good story and admirable call. No need to take a possible risky shot. Good luck in getting another crack at him!

Same here had a young fork chasing 2 doe at 7:10 this morning than had another 4 just crusing along the trail around 9. Should be good during the week but I gotta work, might have to get the flu for a day or 2. Good luck down south.

Ant, you're killin' me. I was so hoping you were going to say you got one. I respect your decision, there is no worse feeling than wounding a deer, that's a tough one. After a while you find ways to get creative to get those shots (like you said about bending at the knees). I always practice in awkward positions prior to the season so I can be ready for those moments. Hope you get a crack at him again. I'd like to see some pics with you holding that big boy up!
