Hunting from tree

Hunting from tree
I am a new hunter (Bow only) Im having a problem. Ive been practicing for the past 5 mon. 40 shots a day, 7 day a week.I have 2'' groups at 35 yds. But yesterdayI hada shot on a doe at 10yds. away from 20 feet up in the tree and mist high by 4in.Question is: Do i need to sight my bow in from a tree instead of the ground or do you think this was just because it was my first shot on a live animal...

I think you need to PRACTICE from a treestand....but you likely don't need to re-sight your bow to shoot from one.
There's a good chance your arrow was on the mark...and your TARGET moved.
If you're truly hitting 2" groups from 35 yds......you're a better archer than 98% of the people I know.

I shoot from our back deck and I live on a hill. Seems to be a a pretty similar shot as from a treestand. Practice standing and sitting while shooting. I've practiced both ways and have shot at deer standing as well as sitting down. You might not have bent properly when you were shooting. I can shoot 2" groups as well...but only from 10 yards!

That is a pretty steep angle....where did you aim on the deer? I learned this lesson the hard way...if the angle is that steep, aim at the lower 1/3rd of the deer. If you are shooting 2 inch groups that far away, you probably are gonna be right on the mark when you move to elevation. Just bend your waist a bit.
