2 deer within 5-10 yards
#1
I was out tonight with my uncle checking his traps and carrying my rifle because the weather is getting nice and cold up this way(3:30PM). We hit all the traps and nothing, so he says he is going to set fresh bait up on the traps and for me to go and stalk around or set up till almost dark and come back to the this spot to grab the gear before we go. So i stalk and sit until 20 min before sunset (heard lots of movement but didn't see a thing) and start to make my way back, I get to about 100 yards of where we are suppose to meet and here come 2 deer crashing right at me, start to point my gun as they are passing withing 5-10 yards and they slam on the breaks( one is grunting as its following the other), I see they are both fawns so i just freeze and they stare at me and put there tails down and start eating and looking at me and eating again. One of them see a little movement from me and starts to come closer and the other follows now i have one at 3-5 yards and the other at 7-9 yards. Man that was cool, this goes on for 15-20 min and they are kind of grunting and bleating at each other. The wind was blowing 0-2 mph kind of away from them. Just had to share, man was that wierd.
P.S. this is not about bow hunting just a cool experience i had you can move it if its not suppose to be here, just thought i would share
