The can...

Also, you can vary the sound the can makes by simply blowing into it and cupping your hand over the "speaker" end of the can. I do this to make shorter or longer bleats than the standard can bleat.

Me I use it loud. But only when you start to see signs of the rut.
I use a True Talker Grunt starting around 7:00 am. I continue to
call with the grunt about every five or so minutes till I get an answer.
Then I reley on the can with off and on grunts about every ten minutes.
You have to watch the downwind side cafefully though because all this calling
will make them swing down wind. Try to leave yourself a good shooting lane
down wind just in case. It does help. Here are some sound files to help.

I use The can. I do 2 bleats with it then bleat a few minutes later. It has definetly worked for me. Just the other night I did it and here comes a small 4 pointer 1.5 year old. I let him pass at 10 yards. My 150 class buck was killed when I used the can...

Blowing in the single hole on the one side works well for me. Allows me to change pitch and length of the call. Had does going crazy last weekend with the can, hopefully it's the bucks this weekend.
