Your opinion
If you have a complete pass through on a deer and your arrow is covered in blood is it a kill shot or not, regardless of where it passed through? (From base of neck to hind quarters.)

RE: Your opinion
I'd say yes, with some exceptions of course. It may not be a quick death, but it's pretty likely it's a fatal wound.

RE: Your opinion
Voted (Depends), Whitetails are tough, I wouldn't have believed it but they had lungs with broadhead scars on autopsys on doe taken off an island in NY on a controled bowhunt...it was in the book, Tracking Dogs for finding Wounded Deer by John Jeanenny or Heart and Blood by Richard Nelson, I forget which...

RE: Your opinion
I would say no. A deer could be hit and survive whether it be a pass thru or not

RE: Your opinion
just as in humans getting shot and living, if nothing vital is hit, or the wound quickly clots, the will to survive will likely keep it going.
