I came home from work a little early. Gave me a little over an hour until last light. I decided to grab the bow and walk the treeline to the back corner of the field. I went into the woods and walked about twenty yards in to the back corner. As I approached, I saw a doe out in the corner of the field and thought I would try to stalk her. I was working my way toward the field and looking for other company. I was just about to the woods edge when (behind three trees that were blocking my view) I see another doe right on the field edge. She was looking right at me! I tried to be as still as possible, and they never ran, but she never presented me a shot as they moved across the field, either. I worked around the edge of the field to the far corner and leaned up against a round hay bale still in the field. As I looked across the field, I saw a four point buck working his way around the path I had just taken. (I am thanking the wind for this.) He is heading to my side of the field. I watch him come around the corner as I move to the far side of the hay. I turn the corner to see where he is and there is a doe not ten yards from me. Busted again! The tail goes up and she (along with another behind her) and the buck take off to the far woods. Oh well, at least I am seeing something.

Sounds like you need a stand or ground blind and sit still. You'll have much better luck. I hope you get one.
