I'm a tampon guy myself...... they have realllly nice plastic applicator so I don't have to touch anything. My drag rag is a pc of parachord I tie to my boot and a knot in the other..... a safeTpin attached to the knotthat I atttach to the stringy thingamabobber on the Tampon(I call it a diving board) I spray and apply gel to tampon and watch it puff....... [:-]that means its working.
My wife hates it....... she goes to grab and they are all gone........ and NO I don't re-use[:'(]

Tampon man here as well. Except after a while your wife gets mad and tells you to go buy your own. Man that looks wierd when you both go throught he line at wal-mart and you both buy tampons:D. but yea i usea small parachord as well with a style of clip attached so i can attach it to my boot and then take it off and hang it with minimal contact.
