Not seeing much here yet. The bucks are looking early and late but no chasing, does are not ready here.
Nothing here yet either! A little pre rut activity but thats it!

Clearfield Co. is slow, no movement during the day at all.
I'm moving a stand today and will do some speed scouting to prepare for this week.
Last night SHOULD have been good , but no movement.

Friday and Saturday I hunted a new farm. Scrapes and rubs everyware but nothing but squirles to keep me company. However, last Wednesdayand Thursday spikes and forks were chasing the girlsaround. I watched one poorfork tine try numerous times to mount a doe. She would let get up and then she would just walk out from under him. What a tease, I felt sorry for the little guy. Other than that I've not seen any big boys dogging the girls,YET.

Hunted Wed. night through Sat. Saw bucks every time out. A total of 5 or 6 different but all small. Forks, spikes and one barley legal small 3 pointer. 3 on one side and the right side completly broken off. Passed on that shot @ 10 yds broad side and looking away. May be regreating that decision. Was able to rattle in the 3 pointer and a fork on Wed evening. The fork came looking for a fight [:@]. He was 20 yds out looking my direction and drooling like mad. Both rubbed and make scrapes befor leaving. Does have been thin but I have seen a few.

Last Saturday I had a spike chasing a doe all around my stand and saw a decent 6 point that stunk so bad I smelled him before I saw him. Then on Tuesday I had a big boy chase a doe past my stand and couldn't get them to stop for nothing.[:@] It looks like they're chasing good, at least in SE PA.

Here in Jersey, it's been slow where I hunt. Have seen plenty of does, 6 small bucks, and no shooters of any kind. There's a 3 point per side limit in my zone , so I have to be choosy on the smaller guys. Want them to grow anyway!
I have not seen any rutting action. Watched a 5 ptr. make a scrape about 75 yds from my tree on Thursday and a few does straggled by between 8 and 9:30 am. No evening action at all!
Thinking I might be busted w/o knowing it, I moved my stand yesterday and hunted from 3pm to dark. Saw 3 does at 5:45 pm. Waited to see if Mr. Bones would follow, NADA!!!
Where's the action??? I can shoot meat anytime. I'd like to score on a decent rut buck. Tried rattling, grunting, " The Can ", some scent, and yet, nothing is working.
I've been putting in some serous time and only shot one doe.
Any of you seasoned veterans got a suggestion for a frustrated Jersey boy???
