Default Hunting Hunting Hunting

So, I'm a torn man tonight....
I missed a big ten last weekend... I know he's there.
I just bought a new Mojo mallard for duck hunting... I love duck hunting..
The pheasant opener is tommorow morning... I'd like to push the fields before anyone else...
I have a turkey tag to fill and saw about 150 this afternoon on my way home... I need one for thanksgivings smoker...

I'm sittin here reading posts trying to decide what to do... I've got my favorite beer with me... I'm having a dip and chattin with you fine folks...

If you had the choice.... what would you do tommorow?

Well never been much of a duck hunter. No pheasants around here, and you still have spring turkey. Go get that buck!!!

The migration really hasn't started yet.... I guess I can pass on the ducks... but I love goin.... that and I have a love to watch the sun come up over the decoys...
I'd like to hang that buck out... I'll take a picture of my deer hunting site... I may just go get my bow out for tommorow...

I can tell you this...
There is a special breed of men and women that are hunters, and whether you've done it for 50 years or 2 months... if you can feel the love then your in a good type of brotherhood.
I was introduced to hunting unknowingly by my father who used to drop me off in my snow suit when I was 5 and he'd tell me...
"Stevie, walk real slow down the edge of that field and stop every 30 yards or so... make your way out to the hedge and follow the ravine up... we'll play a game at the ridge on top.. ok?"
little did I know.... I was pushing deer for my old man when I was 5.
He aso says he put me in a backpack when I was a baby but I don't buy that...

I like to sit here and read other people exploits... good and bad...
I like to see folks succeed and look at their pics...
I love the pics of smiling kids and their first animals.. even squirells and such...

Sittin here with a beer and a dip and reading posts watching my 3 year old jump on the couch as the ducks fly in on the flyway highway makes my friday night.

go for the deer. with pheasant season coming open i would hunt the edge of the fields but be careful. the pheasant hunter will help push some of the deer out of their beds.
