Well since working in the shop, I have gotten to shoot just about all the bows, except the Bowtechs. We used to have them but gave them away to another dealer, because I think they were having trouble out of them. I have gotten to shoot the Tribute, and it was an OK bow. The one thing I do love about the Bowtech's are the amazing back wall they have. I do like that.
If I can keep making the push to get them, I could see me hunting with a Synergy Extreme next year. I have gotten to shoot the Snyergy quiet a bit, and I like the way to Elite's shoot and preform.
But my Hoyt is just a sweet shooter for sure, I just think it's a perfect combo of smooth draw and speed. After tweaking it a little bit. I've got her really shooting. It might be hard for me to get rid of this bow.

I've shot a lot of bows....and the new General is undoubtedly head and shoulders above anything I've shot for the "smooth" factor. I don't know how that will equate to performance, but it IS a smooth shooting bow. It's not as fast as my Allegiance, but it's likely plenty fast for the game we're hunting.
I have a history with my Allegiance, now. It'll be hard to put it on a shelf. I might get one of the new Bowtech's next year for 3D.....but I have a feeling the Ally will go with me into the woods again, next Fall.

I will try and be there. Everything I have been planning has been falling through but hopefully that will change. Lost my cell yesterday in the woods, not sure where but I have to find it.

I'll be hunting with my Alley when I'm down there too Jeff, the General's, nor the Marquis's modules haven't come yet and they are a little long right now at 29". I'm going to shoot the General at 28 and the Marquis at 28.5".
I'll have them there for anyone who wants to shoot them tho.

That Marquis looks like a nice bow. I've always had a soft spot for single cams. I'm getting to the point now, though, that I want a bow that I can shoot "MY" setup and get what I want to out of it.
For instance, I may NEVER get a #70 bow. Just from playing around with bows for the past few months and expiramenting with stuff. I have been able to get EVERYTHING out of my Vectrix XL. For example. It has a 315fps IBO, on #63 maxed, 28.5" and a 360gr arrow I'm getting 285 out of it. 287 out of my hunting arrow weighing in at 354 w/ feathers. That beats my boss's Vulcan set at the same exact setup. With a 5gpp arrow, I'm in the 307ish range.
It's amazing what a twist here and there can do
So if I can get a Synergy Extreme. I'll really be smoking.

Sorry guys, bad news. I started back to work today since my surgery. I had to move 3 days vacation from a couple weeks ago and I scheduled them for this week to come/go to NC and hunt with Jeff. I didn't think it was going to be an issue because no one takes this week off. Well it turns out, 2 guys schedule Thursday and Friday off for some reason before I got back and I cannot have them off. I won't be coming to NC this weekend. I already bought my license too. It'll be good for the spring when I come down to hunt spring birds with Jeff. We can reschedule the get together for spring or Jeff said all of you guys can continue without me. It's up to you guys and Jeff right now but I won't be coming down.

Damn! bummer for both You guys and your wives. I'm sure you were looking forward to the "time spent" as much or more than the hunting!

Hey guys.....I just got back online.
Let's reschedule this for the spring.....when Rob can be a part of it. Rob...don't worry about it. I'll take my camera into the woods and take photos of the deer you'll be missing....lol.
You other guys....shoot me a PM. We CAN still get together and eat, but I think it would be better to wait. GR8.....Jenny wasn't coming down on this trip, anyway.
We'll do this in the Spring....if that's OK with everyone.
