Need Help With Arrows
#1
I am new to bowhunting, so I will have alot of Questions.
I just bought a Bear Element with Draw Weight of 60# and Draw Length of 28". What weight of arrows and broadheads do I need to get. I was looking at the Muzzy's and getting the practise blades to practice. I just want to get the right stuff so I don't hurt my bow.
Thanks in advance

It depends if you are going to shoot carbons but about any of the arrow builders have web sites that give you what type of arrow of their brand for what draw and weight.Such as carbon express.Don't go too light as it will lower your kenetic energy and a 100 grain broadhead works for alot of people.I like to stay around 400-425 grains per rrow with broadhead

i am at 68 pounds 30 inch draw my broad head is a 100grain muzzy love them my arrow including broad head Fletch everything but the nock and insert is 314.9 mine are alittle low but accurate and fast
i would like for 60 pounds it would be good 400-425 seems alittle high to me for 60 pounds they say about 5 grains per pound5 x 60is 300
and my understanding is the heavy the arrow the slower it flys which means less accuracy
it will take you a little time to find the right arrow and broad head compo for your bow try and stay from 300 to 400 if i bought new arrows today i would go for 400s but i am at 68 pounds

I got my son one of these bows last year for Christmas. The 400 series Easton ST Excels would be a great arrow - will come out to about 402 grains total arrow weight with a 100 grain broadhead. Lots of good broadheads out there. Can't go wrong with Muzzy, Montec, or Hellrazor.
