Exactly.... It is only a contest... the trophy is in the eye of the beholder.

congrats team mate on your first 
I try and tell people when your after your first dont be a trophy hunter, shoot what makes you happy and get some experience under your belt. you made the right decision with the angle, devil on your shoulders 
way to go there and nice shooting.
