RE: Killing a "BIG DOE" or a TROPHY Buck?
Look what happened in WEST VIRGINIA by it's states DNR letting them slaughter all those does and no antler restrictions. their (WV) deer hunting has dwindled in the past 10 years. I live by the motto of "let 'em go,watch 'em grow"........and no states DNR has sold me on that crap of balancing out the herd. Only the strong will survive!

And yes if I had the extra money and decided to put that into extra licenses like your bragging about having and doing I probably would pass up a lot more deer.

I myself will leave all the "BIG DOE" killing for the kiddies or the ones who want to help out their states DNR by killing "BIG DOES" to balance the herd. I hunt 3 states and the money I have to pay for out-of-state lisc., I'mNOT shooting "BIG DOES", I only hunt trophies.

So what would you do if you hunted wisconson in an "earn a buck" zone.... or in Minnesota when you get the free antlerless tag with the license? Would you just throw it away. not trying to start anything. just saying each state has different laws and different limits.
I always let the little bucks go and wait for a mature buck or a mature doe if i have an antlerless tag.

Ill just chime in one last time, then watch the show.
Antler restrictions can cause problems as well. You end up with a bunch of mature freak racks or basket racks because they will not meet the spread restrictions. They will be the ones doing all the breeding as well. You can get a case of crap genetics. Ive seen it in the 80s in south Texas.

I said I was just going to read along, but someone has to say it;
Someone washed down their tacky pills with a bottle of hateraid this morning.

What would you do if: Peak rut was during rifle season, and you knew your neibors would kill anything brown?
I'm curious to know why you care how I hunt MY woods and what I shoot. I'm hunting for myself, not anyone else who is trying to force QDM or any other management plan on me. I (I should say we, my dad and uncles and I) manage my property as we see fit and shoot what WE want to. Thanks.
