Has anyone ever hunted with a outfitter? Do you still have to pay the money even if you dont get a chance at a deer that is mature according to their standards? (I assume you still have to pay). I have just always wondered about this?....I am not looking to hunt with an outfitter, although it would probably be a good time.

You pay your money you take your chances! Fair chase that is....there are some that will guarentee but it's a lot less like hunting and more like pick and shoot!

Some people like myself look at it as a sort of vacation. Back when I was young with no disposable money, I didn't even think of using an outfitter. Of course even now, if I had the game available to me where I am, I probably would not use an outfitter. But there are no elk, moose, or 180 class whitetails in my neck of the woods.
