Default Speaking of Hunting Shows...

I watch very few..but lately because of the time of year and the poor regularly scheduled programs I've watched a few.

Does it bug anyone else that when they come back from commercial they have to replay the previous 5 minutes that was aired before the commercial break??

I mean are we, hunters, that slow that we can't recall what happend 2 minutes and 2 seconds ago??? Or are they just that short of good tape?

It bugs me that they continually turn the show into one big product hawking experience. My take on the shows is this: They were good my first year of bowhunting, but now I really could care less about them. In the beginning, for me anyway, they were interesting. Lately they have turned into something that I don't ever experience when I go bowhunting and I get frustrated. I used to record them on the DVR, now I really could care less about most of them.

I have seen a couple a shows lately where you can tell that they edited the tape to make it look like they grunted the deer in to promote their call. In the one the guy didnt even have his release on when they "called the buck in."

And none of that stuff ever happens to me. The bucks have perfect bodies, perfect racks, and the hunters arealwaysin fantasy situations. Bucks doing things you only dreamed the bucks you hunt would do. Always focusing on the money shot, not the work and went in to it. Fast paced, crazy, with cheesy music, getting down to business. Then move on to the next one and do it again, over and over again for 3 hours until the DVD is over.

It's amazing how similar deer hunting shows are to porno.

I think they do a lot of it for fillers. They try and make a show out of one hunt or maybe two poorly field produced hunts.

I'm not going to say any names , but a friend of mine whos is a park officer ran some guy out of a federal park that you can't hunt in Iowa once that had there camo on and cameras. They where parked in the middle of a fire line. My friend is a bowhunter and started talking to them about hunting they said they were getting some footage for there hunting show and that they were headed For Kansa to bow hunt.

They must think it puts you back into the flow of things. Like if you go to the kitchen and, Wait! What was I talking about? I'll be back.
