I was wondering what locations are the best for mid day hunts??

Close to bedding areas inside the timber. If you can find a main trail that links two bedding areas that's a good mid day spot. You might catch a buck checking the bedding areas for hot does. Just don't get too close, and pay attention to the wind.

Definitely in the thick. I like creek crossings and ditches running through tall timber.
