went out this morning and had 2 does but they wouldn't come within range.got down out of my stand and found a scrape less then 20 yards from my stand that wasn't there the last time which was monday night. and i caught a glimpse of a buck. not for sure how big he his but i'm guessing he will be back tonight. which is why i'm getting ready to head out right now. Wish me luck. hope he is a shooter. of course at this point i'd be willing to make an exception! lol

This evening I saw my second buck of the season. A small 8. He was with 4 does in a soybean field when I walked in around 5:00. The one doe spotted me and although she did not bolt, they left the field. Finally seeing some deer at least.

Didn't see squat until I left and about a half mile down the road, a mature 130 ish buck crossed the road, stopped in the middle and kinda stared at me. I swear he stuck out his tongue.[:@]

Was out most of the day. Had a 2hr break between 12:00 and 2:00 Drove to another location for the afternoon hunt. Had a stand already set up in a staging area that the deer usually hung around in 1/2 hr or so before commiting to entering the field. Long story short I never saw a deer in there. I was leaving my stand and entered the edge of the field and there stood about 20 deer already in the field. This is only a difference of 60 yards from my stand to where these deer were. They entered above me where I couldn't see them. I wasn't prepared to shoot one so I video taped them for a bit. I bent down to set my bow on the ground and there were 3 others 15 feet from me to my left that I never saw until they bolted. It was a pretty cool night.
Should I go back to that location tommorrow or wait a couple days for them to calm down? I would move closer with my climber to get a open field shot, but they kinda spooked when the 3 deer went out beside me. Or do you think their stomachs will overide their nerves?
