I got one for Christmas, and i got to pick it out, I almost got the sony cyber shot, but i found a Nikon Coolpix 8.1mp, for like $40 more dollars and it takes a typical SD card, instead of the cybershot which takes the memory stick pro duo. i didnt want to do that because my game camera take sd and all i have to do is take my digital cam to check my pics. its very small and has a slightly bigger screen then the comparable cyber shot i was looking at. Overall its a better camera for me.

I have a Nikon Coolpix S4--6 megapixel with a 10X optical zoom. I love the 10x zoom and how compact this camera is. And it has taken it's fair share of abuse in my pocket over the last couple of years with zero problems.

I just bought the Olympus 790sw from Cameraland in New York.Owner is an avid hunter and they have great prices on Camera's,Binoculars,Scopes etc.I wanted to go for something with a lot more optical zoom but I opted for the Camera I did because it can take a beating.I was looking hard at the Panasonic Fz18,and I think that I will be buying one in the future.It doesn't seem like you can't have it all in one camera,small,light rugged.high optical zoom.
and it was just what I needed to throw in the backpack and hunting.

I now use a Olympus 770 sw. I need something small enough to carry all the time and waterproof.
I haven't tried real hard to take nice deer pictures with it, but it takes good pictures on the water.
I'm not even afraid to take it out in the canoe. (I have floats on the strap so it won't sink if dropped)

Canon Powershot A620.
It's my wife's camera and we have been really impressed. I carry it in my small backpack in it's case that came with it. It seems pretty durable and I have been very impressed with the ease of use and pictures.

Rob all the cybershots I have looked at only have a 3-5 optical zoom? The bigger ones I did find have a 15 and a 10 zoom, im guessing this is what you have? They are a little more bulky then the slim cybershots, is this what you have?
