J-Bird,
I'm with ya on the form thing. Heck I shoot the Ultra Max and people complain about it. I just don't agree that a string oscillating backwards and then forwards is the culprit for the pain you feel. Its the initial slap, before the string even make contact with the supressors.

Had a great 3 days. Story is done on the ATA show but not up yet. If things go well will have pictures up tonight on the web late.
If not will have it all up before next weekend.
Just some I talked with and did interviews with.
For the outdoor personalities, it had to be the place to be of the hunting world. Bill Jordan, Michael Waddell, David Blanton, Alex Rutledge, Eddie Salter, Allen Morris, Gerald Stewart, Stan Potts, Mark Drury, Will Primos, Jim Horn, David Hale, Harold Knight, Walter Parrott, Brenda Valentine, Jerry Martin, George Dixon, Chuck Adams, Ralph Cianciarulo, Vicki Cianciarulo, Bob Foulkrod, Kevin “HAWG” Kreh, Tom Miranda, Dan Fitzgerald, Guy Fitzgerald, David Morris, Phil Phillips and Dave Watson

<BLOCKQUOTE id=quote<font size=1 face='Verdana, Arial, Helvetica' id=quote>quote:<hr height=1 noshade id=quote>TRUE..Wrist slap is caused by poor form but the average shooter will have a problem with a bow with a brace height as short as 5 1/2". It can also be caused by wrist position on the grip, some one that shoots with a low grip will more likely have a problem than a high wristed shooter. I shot the new Black Max at the ATA show thourgh a crono at 334, and watched the guys from spot hog (shooting machine) fire the bow and it preformed up to its IBO speed rating. <hr height=1 noshade id=quote></BLOCKQUOTE id=quote></font id=quote><font face='Verdana, Arial, Helvetica' size=2 id=quote>
well I am not trying to bust anyones bubble here. Well ok I am but anyway, but here is a qoute from another member that was at the show also
<BLOCKQUOTE id=quote><font size=1 face='Verdana, Arial, Helvetica' id=quote>quote:<hr height=1 noshade id=quote>and today I was shooting the bowtech extreame vft and I did shoot it through a chrono. 70lbs, 350 grain arrow, 30 inch draw 335 fps. <hr height=1 noshade id=quote></BLOCKQUOTE id=quote></font id=quote><font face='Verdana, Arial, Helvetica' size=2 id=quote>
As you can see that is 1 fps faster with an inch more brace height. The objective is not to just make them faster. The object is to make the faster and retain shootable charteristics like larger brace heights. I wouldn't shoot a sub 6 1/2 brace height if someone else was paying for it!

and which Bow Company are you an engineer for? Why would they make a claim they couldn't back up? They have everything to lose and nothing to gain. Sometimes the truth hurts and we just have to accept it<img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>

Why would anybody say something that cant back up? Because they can and still have people that will believe it<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>Doesnt bother my one bit how fast it shoots never.270 is my limit for hunting and I shoot ASA so there goes the 288 speed limit wouldnt do me a bit of good if it shoot 390 fps<img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>And it should be they everything to gain

I read they done that with a 3 grain per pound arrow in another post and it also state that bowtech shot a 3grain per pound arrow with the extreme vft at 427fps!!!!!! It is posted in the tech forum I think.
