I don't know how many hit it throughout the year, but it was over 10 feet in diameter and was open from late October through the end of December. I did not have a game camera at the time so your guess is as good as mine as far as numbers. I saw 3 different bucks hit it while I was hunting.

Jim,

With that size of crater....a game camera there would be fun to follow!

Ive seen two in the same day. That is about it. Most of the time I dont see them working scrapes or rubs. Here in Texas, most of the bucks do that at night. It stays hot here for some time. By the time it really starts to cool, they are back to a feeding cycle.

First time I ever saw a buck make a scrape.....it was the first buck I'd ever seen. A half-rack spike, a 4 pointer, a 6 pointer and a BB all worked the same scrape, that morning. I had an 8-pointer waltz by but not come in to the scrape.

I've seen several work scrapes since then....but never more than one on a scrape in one sitting, since that first time.
