Look what I found (Warning Graphic)
Not allowing me to embed the pic, it is the right size..oh well heres the links:
My younger brother found this after he hunted one of my stands on sunday morning. It was visible from the stand, about 100 yards from in in the middle of a mowed strip in a CRP feild, in the bottoms of a big valley. Nature doesnt waste anything....especially when there are coyotes around. He was about 30% eaten. He was pretty ripe too, nad been dead 5-7 days I think.
I am 90% sure he was NOT hit by a hunter. Although he did not have any visible broken bones, there was bad blooshot under the hide from sholder to tail. No visible bullet or arrow wounds either, athough coyotes would have started eating on those areas. Looked like he got pegged by a car on the road 200 yards from where he was on the other side of the CRP.
He had a Hog body and huge hooves, definately at least 3.5, even though his rack isnt that big (maybe 125) I drug him into the brush out of the way and he still weighed well over 200. He had about as deep of a chest as I have ever seen, pretty sure he was over 270 live.
On further news from this weekend, it is now Coyotes 2, Me 0. One came in saturaday morning and saw and heard me release. It is no use to shoot at a coyote that is looking at you at 30 yards unless you are shooting a lot faster that 260fps. he ducked and the arrow didnt. least this one wasnt directly my fault.
Hopefully all your weekends were better than mine?

Yea, sure wish my brother could have gotten to him before thevehicle did. Would have been an awesome first buck with a bow. Sad he had to end like that.

I fixed the pics...
How far from a road? Possible hit by a car?
Darn shame. [&:]

Thank you much
I do think it was hit by a car. 200 yards from a road, although a lightly traveled one.there was bad bloodshot visible under the hide, where the yotes had peeled it back, from shoulder to hip. A giant bruise pretty much.
