Dates of the majority of your buck kills?
#21
9/25 (youth hunt), 10/16, 10/23, 11/2, most larger bucks sighted 11/9-11/14, but I never seem to be sitting close enough to that "hot" doe to get a shot at one during this time. Each of the last 4 years, I have seen at least 2 decent bucks on 11/14. I hunt in an area not known for trophies and also where the neighbors see antlers and shoot no matter how big the buck is, so it's rare to see 2 decent bucks in one day, let alone the same day for 4 years in a row!
I've never shot at a buck in the last 6 years of gun season, which in MI runs from 11/15-11/30. I've seen my fair share, but nothing ever big enough to my standards since I started passing them up at age 16.

Interesting topic. Looking back through my journal entries the majority of mine have come at an odd time, October 11-19. That is usually The October lull, but it's been good to me, except for this year that is.

The week before the first gun season in MN, (last week of october/first week of november). Usually pre-rut and the deer have not been too pressured yet.
