I really like the Mangus Snuffer SS.
Half a dozen hogs have a definite dislike for them. They shot within an inch of my field points. They sharpen easily. They have a lifetime 100% warranty. They have the proper blade angle and penetrate well (6 pass throughs) IMHO you could do a lot worse. |

You might want to check into the G5 strikers too. They are cut on contact heads like the montecs only sharper. I mean they are scarey sharp! Even at 50# you should blow through a deer sized animal no problem. I shot a deer with one last year and the arrow stuck half way up the shaft into the ground after completely passing through the deer. And I only shoot 10# more than you. Check em out.

Stay away from any of the large mechanicals such as the rage. A much better choice would be a smaller fixed blade head. Magnus stingers, snuffer ss, G5 montec, Sonics, Rocky turbo's etc. Lots of good choices but keep in mind penetration is going to be your main concern with a lower draw weight setup.

I agree with 5 shot on this. Not getting into all the number crunching, but at 205 fps your setup is not producing enough energy to effectively shoot any mechanical head, especailly one with a large cutting diameter.
Better to stay with something fairly narrow, 3 blades, and you'll get better results in the long run. Large cuts don't necessarily mean good blood trails. The arrow still has to pass through so there is a low exit hole---in the vitals. |

definetaly stick with a fixed blade to ensure that you will ethically kill that animal. Liek 5shot and BG said. My favorite flavor is the stryker from G5.
