Hard to Get up in th AM
I am usally good at this but this year it is very hard to get up earlier then6 in the morning. I think it is because i have not seen a single deer in the morning. No ambititon to get out there. Im going to hunt a stand in the AM that i jst hunted this PM, i didnt see no deer.
PS: man i seen the coolest thing sittin in a stand tonight. A fox stalks this bird and snatches it out of ther air. I could have had the fox but did want to ruin the BH.

In the right spot. I rather hunt mornings than evenings anyday. Esp. with my bow. Its a lot harder blood trailing a deer in SC swamps at night.
So far this year all, but three of the deer I've seen have been in the mornings.

my thinking must be wrong because i think that if the deer are getting up at 6 in PM then they will be in bed at 8 AM. I have not yet seen a deer in the morning but have seen like 10 at night in 4 hunts.

Thats b/c you aren't hunting a "morning stand" or you just aren't waiting the deer out.
Find a good funnel b/t the bedding area and whatever the deer are feeding on at the time. Then you have a great morning spot. This year most of the deer I've seen have come in AFTER 8:00am.
Get in the stand at least 30 minutes before the sun starts to come up. That way you won't bump any deer that may be already on the way back to the beds. Sit tight and be ready. Most deer that come through in the mornings are moving...going to their beds, so you have to be ready to shoot.

Welcome to the real world kiddo.
I get off work at 12am. Go home, get a few hours of sleep. Wake up at 4:30am. Hunt until bout 11am. And have to be at work at 4pm. And do it all over again.

RE: Hard to Get up in th AM
I myself like to hunt morn and evenings, every year i see deer. the stand i hunt out of as 6 different trails running past it, so deer can come any direation. My problem is this year i've been out and not seen one deer lots of squirrels it's making it hard to get out of bed but once i'm there i'm ok, you know the blood get pumping nerves on edge waiting to see a deer even if it's just a fawn or a deer out of range to shoot. Going out in the morn wish me luck. And i know it may sound weird but i always say a little pray before getting the the woods it go like this lord make this a good hunt even if i don't get a shot let me see deer amen.
