My had lost about half my axis FMJ's. So I set off to the archery shop to get some cheaper arrows (some thing a little cheaper than the fmj's). I told the owner what my draw length/draw weight (29" draw/ 70 lbs./ 100 gr. heads) and he told me i needed 400's for proper spine.I say okay, and pickout awrap for the arrow.Icame back about 2 days laterhe charged $135for the dozen. I take them home and shoot them and isome sort offish tail/ barrel roll out of the arrows. now I look on the easton charts (on there web site) and it looks like I should have ordered them in the 340 size instead.
am I right??
If i am are these arrows now junk? I think they should be good on a lighter poundage, if so I might be able to sell them. if not then looks like they are going in the trash.
HELP!!!

Are they the same diameter? If not, retuning is in order, if so, spine might be an issue. Personally if he sold you the wrong arrows, I'd go back and tell him that and work something out, after all, it's mostly his fault but personally I NEVER trust a shop, I go in tell them what I want without looking for suggestions. Some shop owners don't get it.

yea you shoulda got 340's I just bought a new bow and got the 340 XX75 game getters for 50 bucks a dozen they cut and glued them for free. I have the same setup as you 70lbs and 29inch draw with 100 grain heads..... Id take them back and tell him he don't know what hes doing.... for crying out loud the chart for arrow selection is right on the box.

I'd take them back as well....
Did I ever tell you about the time I paid for a dozen XX-78s...When I got home I realized that I had 11.....[:@] That shop didn't last long, I never went back, it was 30 miles away, figured it might get ugly...

I just loaned a buddy of mine an old bow to get him into the game on bowhunting and at the pro shop they tried selling him some bottom of the line sights and rest that would have come out to about 90 some odd dollars. He didnt but them and went to Walmart and got the exact same ones for under 40 bucks.Seems like they just wanted to take advantage of him since he is new to the sport.
