Its getting to me.....

Should i bait, or should i not bait. I usually would say noooo way to baiting, but for some reason i am thinking about it. I hunt outside Philly. I was hoping that PA's deer season would give me a warm greeting, but so far all i have got is the cold shoulder. I thought that moving up here from MO i would get a chance at some better deer. The people i work with are telling me over and over that i need to put out corn. I usually say no and give my reasons. One guy knew that i planted food plots on the farm in MO and said that it was the same thing....excpet shelled corn.
What are your take on this? Is it the same thing? Should i bait?
I have yet to kill a deer with my bow, and it is kinda getting to me now. I passed some up when i lived in MO because my cousin wanted to manage the land for better bucks, and it seemed like all i saw was the 1 1/2 year olds. He told me i should shoot one to break the ice and to get one on the ground, but i didnt want to kill a potential giant.
Am i doing something wrong? I wash my cloths in Dead Down Wind soap, shower in DDW soap, use DDW deoderant, use DDW field spray, use DDW mouth spray, i keep my hunting clothes in a plastic container with baking soda after i wash them......am i missing something?
I think what is really getting to me is that i dont have a place where i can really hunt. I live a ways from game lands, which are in a different WMU, so i cant even shoot i doe if i made it up there.....all i have to hunt around here are small little woodlots, that half the time i am afraid i am trespassing, but the land is not posted, and everyone i talk to says its alright (which i admit is stupid of me....i need to find out)
sorry if i am being a big baby, but it is just getting to me.....
i feel better
good luck everyone!
its not that i am mad about it, but just dissapointed i guess

first i am a fan of baiting
i put out a 100 pounds of corn a week in KY and never had a problem with the deer going nocturnal
When i started baiting i would see any where from 5 to 10 deer a day .
A month into baiting and i saw 18 around the pile at one time and it was in mid morning .
As for the land and trespassing go to you local courthouse you can find out who owners the land where they live there address and how big it is and where the borders are . It is not hard to do just go the the mapping department or auditors office

Ok, about the posted land. I live not far from you. Im in NJ and here the rule is a landowner HAS to post his property if he wishes to enforce no tresspassing, unless its agricultural. Also, the psoted signs can only read ONE season, so they have to be dated, for example POSTED-NO HUNTING 2006/2007. If its past dated or not posted, you can only be asked to leave by the LANDOWNER, no prosecution, unless you commit a misdormeanor or felony, obviously. I hunt spots like this all of the time. I respect them, pack out what I pack in and I clean other peoples mess from years before. The bigest buck youll ever kill will either never have dry feet or is sleeping in someones back yard and I swear by that. You should see the bucks in my backyard !!!

You still don't own the land or have permission! You are trespassing and giving all hunters a bad wrap!! Take a little initaitive and get permission or don't hunt land that's not yours!

The law here says posted signs every 75ft and have date and signature to be valid.
That being said I have a hard time hunting somewhere if I don't know if I'm wanted or not. Just an uncomfortable feeling. I would rather hunt public land than be sneaking onto land even if I could legally hunt there.
I also know of a couple of parcels where the access points were heavily posted with NO HUNTING signs. Come to find out it was hunters who put the signs up. Smart guys I guess but I knew better.
I also know a bunch of places that have signs along some of the roadway but nothing on the backside. How do I know where that line starts?? Whose side should I error on?
If it don't FEEL right don't hunt it!!

i agree with white tail deer if you do not own it ask before you walk in
forget the legel illegel issue it is the right thing to do
i had land in ky and had two time that i cought people tresspassing. And the land was not posted . but it was marked on the borders
If you do not own it stay out
what if i come to your house seeno sign and just walk in and make my self at home
also you when you on land you do not own you might get shot for it .
just because the signs are old andnot from the current owner mean noting there still there
what if you bought a piece of land say 50 acres and it had 200 signs on it at 1 dollar each there new say 5 years old are you going to go remove them just because you did not hang them yourself
also i would bet planter you do not own your own land since you seem ok to trespass if it is not posted
hey what would you do if a guy said i did not see a no tresspassing sign on your new truck so i took it 4wheelen and broke the axle
