There sure is something about the light starting to filter into the AM woods. Its such a beautiful time as the woods come alive.
I bet none of you have ever stared at a blob shaped just like a big buck for a half hour only to find when the light was good it was just a stump..I swear that stump had been moving to!!!!!

Nope, that is what binoculars are for...to see into the darkness and dismiss those ghost deer.

But I know exactly what your saying....that's why I love binos for bowhunting.

Evenings have been better for me but i guess it all depends where your set up in the woods. Between 11 and 1 in the afternoon have been good times for me as well!

Its all location. Sure can't hunt a field edge as well in the AM. the deer are already heading home. I like to try and cut them off at the old pass.

Even mature bucks or nocturnal bucks move in the daytime. They change beds get a drinkor take a wizz. They mosey over to that oak just loaded with sweet nuts. They may not move far but they sure are not anchored to one spot.
